Ankita is a Senior Research Associate, Environmental Governance and Policy at SFC. She is an environmental scientist specialising in air quality, aerosol chemistry, source apportionment and sustainability research. Her broader research interests include policy-relevant environmental analysis and statistical data interpretation, bridging exposure science with human health.
She holds a PhD in Environmental Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, and she was a postdoctoral fellow at the Ming Chi University of Technology, Taiwan, where she conducted research on aerosol chemistry and air quality management. Prior to this, she worked as a Researcher in the UKRI GCRF South Asian Nitrogen Hub (SANH), coordinating multinational wet deposition of nitrogen across South Asia. Her academic contributions include peer reviewed publications, book chapters and conference presentations, alongside recognitions such as the NESA Junior Scientist of the Year Award (2020) and a Guest Editor role for a scientific journal.
