SFC is an independent research organisation analysing frontier issues in climate change, energy, and the environment.

We focus on the systemic changes required for India’s transition to a sustainable, just, and resilient economy and society.

In these areas, we identify upstream policy levers that, when activated, can drive downstream impact at scale.

We analyse issues at the frontier of addressing climate change, managing the energy transition, and limiting environmental threats in India and globally

We inform policymakers, stakeholders, and the public about key policy and governance levers, and their implications

We accelerate the transition to an environmentally and socially sustainable future by enabling strategic action for systemic change

Our approach

Identify frontier issues of long-term strategic importance

Establish foundational evidence

Shape policy ecosystem for transformative change

Collaborate with state and non-state actors to advance policy
