Dr Nidhi Shukla is a Research Lead in the Environmental Governance and Policy team at the Sustainable Futures Collaborative. She works in environmental epidemiology and biostatistics to assess the impacts of air pollution and temperature on human health. Her work specifically focuses on personal and population exposure monitoring using fixed or low-cost sensors, as well as exposure modelling using statistical and epidemiological methods for health-centric policy decisions on environmental exposures. She holds a PhD in Biostatistics and Environmental Epidemiology from the University of Leicester. Her doctoral research examined the short-term associations of air pollution and temperature with respiratory conditions. She has also worked on regional air quality modelling, air pollution management policies, research gaps in India, portable and wearable sensor applications, and biomass-burning exposure.
