Dr Sahib Singh is a Senior Research Associate within the Energy Transitions vertical at Sustainable Futures Collaborative. He is interested in just transitions, resistance against resource extraction, multispecies ethnography, ethnoecology, and science and technology studies with a focus on climate change. His current focus at SFC is on the socio-political implications of scaling agrivoltaics and the role of non-humans in the just transitions discourse. Sahib completed his PhD in Anthropology at University College London (UCL), where he was a member of the Human Ecology Research Group and an affiliate of the Multimedia Anthropology Laboratory. His doctoral research examined an anti-mining (coal) indigenous environmental movement in central India, focusing on moral atmospheres of subaltern mobilisation, moral emotions, embodied ecological knowledge, value conflicts stemming from the influx of capital, and multiple world-making enactments or ontologies in the pluriverse.
