Shreya Shekhar

Research Associate, Adaptation and Resilience

Shreya Shekhar is a Research Associate in the Adaptation and Resilience team at the Sustainable Futures Collaborative (SFC). Her current focus is on climate adaptation and heat policy, alongside exploring energy transitions within the Indian landscape. She holds an MSc in international development from the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester where she focused on environment and climate policy, and an MA in environmental economics from the Madras School of Economics. In her previous role at the Centre for Policy Research, Shreya worked on financing heat action plans and on green industrial policy at the sub-national level. She also worked at the National Water Mission, Ministry of Water Resources, on state-specific action plans and contributed to revising the mission document. At TERI, as a Project Associate, Shreya conducted market research and behavioural studies within the cooling sector and worked on an implementation framework for the India Cooling Action Plan.
