Sonali Verma
Communications Lead
Sonali leads communications at the Sustainable Futures Collaborative (SFC), where she built the organisation’s communications strategy, team, and platforms from the ground up. She has several years of experience in policy and development communications, with a focus on climate and environmental issues. Her work explores how climate challenges, particularly extreme heat, are communicated and understood in policy and public discourse, and how storytelling and public engagement can make complex climate risks more tangible and actionable. Previously, Sonali was at the Centre for Policy Research’s Initiative on Climate, Energy, and Environment, the Central Square Foundation and the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy. She began her career in journalism, reporting for the Hindustan Times and The Wire. Sonali holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi.
