Soutrik is a Research Associate in the Climate Policy vertical at Sustainable Futures Collaborative. He takes a specific interest in climate action as a way forward for structural transformations through socio-economic and political perspectives with a strong focus on equitable distributions and sustainable transitions. His current focus of work is in the intersection of climate and trade policies beyond which his interest also lies in the area of carbon pricing, climate finance, and modelling. Previously he was with Ernst & Young's Government and Public Sector consulting, with assignments at the MoEFCC and the Indian Ports Association. He has also worked in public and climate finance during his tenure at Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability (CBGA). His research contributions extend to projects with academic institutions like the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, and Stanford University. He holds a Master’s degree in Development Policy, Planning and Practice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Tuljapur, and a Bachelor’s degree in Science from St. Xavier’s College.
