Heat risks are rising. The focus now is on scaling what works. The 2026 Global Heat and Cooling Forum on 20-21 April, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, will bring together leaders across policy, science, and practice to advance real-world solutions for heat resilience and climate-friendly cooling. The new Global Heat Health Information Network (GHHIN) South Asia Hub will also officially launch, marking a step forward in regional collaboration on heat and health.
Aditya Valiathan Pillai will be speaking on Day 1, in Session 1: Governance Pathways for Strengthening Heat Resilience in the Global South, from 11 am to 1 pm IST. The session is being conducted in partnership with the GHHIN.
Bhargav Krishna, Purvi Patel, and Tamanna Dalal will also be speaking on Day 1, in Session 4: Invisible Exposure: Rethinking Heat Metrics and Protection Pathways for Informal and Gig Workers, from 4-6 pm. The session is conducted in partnership with The Salata Institute of Climate and Sustainability, Harvard University
Bhargav Krishna will be speaking on Day 2 of the event at the GHHIN South Asia Hub Launch, from 9 – 10 am IST, on how heat is impacting health in South Asia.
